Due to an upcoming maternity absence, we are hiring for our client, an award-winning construction organisation based in County Tyrone, who are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and growing business, supporting the HR team across recruitment, onboarding, training and development, compliance, employee engagement and HR projects. The successful HR Officer will enjoy a varied generalist role within a collaborative and people-focused environment.

The Role

  • Manage recruitment activities including advertising vacancies, liaising with agencies and supporting interviews
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters and new starter documentation
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and deliver company inductions
  • Conduct new starter reviews and provide feedback to management teams
  • Manage offboarding processes including exit interviews and reporting
  • Monitor training compliance, identify training gaps and coordinate external training requirements
  • Support the design and delivery of internal training programmes
  • Assist with HR reporting and data analysis for senior leadership meetings
  • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR information
  • Support HR projects and wider people initiatives across the business

 

The Person

  • Third level qualification in HR or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years HR generalist experience
  • CIPD qualified or currently working towards qualification
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Full driving licence
