HR Manager – 12 month fixed term contract

  • Full time hours (38 hours per week)- 5 days per week OR condensed working hours over Monday to Thursday (Friday off)

 

Our Client is a market leader in their field and a great local employer in the County Down area.

Due to a maternity absence they wish to appoint an experienced HR Manager. 

This is a true HR generalist opportunity, a stand-alone HR Management role for a 12 month fixed term contract, April 2025 to April 2026.

 

Starting in April 2025, the successful HR Manager will have a great handover with the current HR Manager and work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team, driving the company’s organisational culture, employee experience and talent strategy for the year to come.

This is a stand-alone, autonomous HR role which requires an experienced HR professional with well-rounded experience of the full range of HR activities – culture, engagement, employee wellbeing, policies, benefits, employee relations, recruitment etc. 

 

The Role

  • Review and update HR policies and procedures
  • End to end recruitment activities including annual monitoring returns
  • Coaching and mentoring the management team in ER issues and cases
  • Updating HR data to inform and support the management team
  • Oversight of absence management procedures
  • Administration and management of all stages in the employee life cycle eg onboarding, development, retention and offboarding
  • Drive the wellbeing strategy and continue the wellbeing initiatives
  • Administration of employee records

 

The Person

  • CIPD qualified
  • 2-3 years + HR officer/generalist experience
  • In-depth knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice
  • Previous experience in a stand-alone HR role would be desirable
  • Organised, self starter
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Positive work attitude
