This notice explains how Hunter Savage handles personal information when you contact us, use our website, or discuss recruitment opportunities with us.
Who we are and how to contact us
Hunter Savage provides specialist recruitment services across the UK and Ireland. For questions about your information or to exercise your rights, email info@huntersavage.com or write to Hunter Savage, 3rd Floor, 65–67 Chichester Street, Belfast, BT1 4JD. Please tell us which office or consultant you have been dealing with so we can direct your request.
Information we use
We use information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, enquiry, CV, work history, qualifications, preferences and application details. We may also receive relevant information from recruitment platforms, employers, referees or publicly available professional profiles. We will explain any additional checks or sensitive information required for a particular role. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.
Why we use your information
We use information to answer enquiries, discuss suitable opportunities, manage applications, introduce candidates to employers and provide recruitment services. Depending on the activity, we rely on steps you ask us to take before a contract, performance of a contract, legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in providing and managing recruitment services. Where consent is required, we ask for it separately and you can withdraw it.
Website security and technical records help us operate and protect the service. With your consent, Google Analytics processes visit, browser and device information to help us understand website use and improve the service. Analytics is off until you accept and can be disabled at any time through Cookie preferences, which also controls optional Spotify players. Any direct marketing must have an appropriate legal basis and a way to opt out.
Who may receive information
Relevant information may be shared with prospective employers in connection with your application, recruitment technology providers, hosting and IT support providers, professional advisers, or authorities where required by law. Only information relevant to the purpose should be shared. Job application links may take you to Spott, which provides the application platform; read the privacy information shown there before submitting your application.
External services may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where we arrange an international transfer, appropriate safeguards are required. Contact us for information about the recipients and safeguards applicable to your records.
How long information is kept
We keep information only for as long as needed for its purpose. The period depends on whether an enquiry or application is active, our ongoing recruitment relationship with you, when the information was last updated, and any legal, accounting or dispute-related requirements. We review records and delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required. Contact us for the retention arrangements that apply to your CV, enquiry or application, or to ask us to remove your details.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.
Send requests to info@huntersavage.com. We may need to verify your identity before providing personal information. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the Irish Data Protection Commission, as applicable.
